El gu\u00eda, experto en fotograf\u00eda de vida silvestre, conservaci\u00f3n y naturalismo, puede aumentar considerablemente las probabilidades de avistar fauna dentro del parque. Con una extensi\u00f3n de 35.929 hect\u00e1reas, el parque abarca 15.465 hect\u00e1reas de bosque primario, que incluye numerosos r\u00edos y cascadas. Existen opciones para <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thepanama.club\/es\/trip\/acampar-o-senderismo-en-el-parque-nacional-portobelo\/\">acampar y realizar excursiones de senderismo<\/a><\/strong>, lo que permite a los visitantes explorar monta\u00f1as como Sierra Llorona y conocer cascadas como Salto de las Ranas y Salto del Mono.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante su visita, podr\u00e1 encontrar una gran variedad de especies de aves, como el pavito de agua (o garza del sol), la dacnis azul, la garza blanca, el halc\u00f3n reidor, el elanio plomizo, el busardo negro mayor, el tero (o avefr\u00eda sure\u00f1a), el tirano colilargo, el tuc\u00e1n y el autillo vermiculado. Asimismo, es posible observar diversos monos, como el mono ara\u00f1a centroamericano, el mono aullador, el tamarino de cresta roja, el mono capuchino y el mono nocturno. Entre la fauna restante se incluyen perezosos, kinkaj\u00fas, jaguarundis, murci\u00e9lagos, marmosas (u oposums rat\u00f3n mexicanos) y mapaches. El parque tambi\u00e9n alberga una variedad de reptiles, incluidas varias especies de lagartijas, adem\u00e1s de ara\u00f1as, cocodrilos, tortugas, serpientes, ranas e insectos. Existe una gran probabilidad de encontrarse con criaturas \u00fanicas durante su visita.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las opciones de senderismo var\u00edan desde una caminata de dos horas \u2014para una experiencia de medio d\u00eda\u2014 hasta recorridos de cinco o seis horas \u2014para una jornada completa\u2014, lo que ofrece flexibilidad para la exploraci\u00f3n. El Parque Nacional Portobelo, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, posee un gran valor hist\u00f3rico por haber sido un punto de tr\u00e1nsito clave para las riquezas que los conquistadores espa\u00f1oles transportaban desde Per\u00fa hasta Espa\u00f1a.
