The lake was created in 1976 when the Bayano River was dammed for a hydroelectric power plant. It is located approximately an hour and a half away by car, or two hours by bus, from Panama City. Lake Bayano is particularly recognized for the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thepanama.club\/es\/trip\/bayano-caves-tour\/\">Bayano Caves<\/a><\/strong> and the indigenous Embera communities living in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bayano Adventure Park spans 20 hectares along the shores of Lake Bayano and offers private access to the water. Swimming is permitted, so don\u2019t forget to bring your swimsuit! You can also use a kayak or a pedal boat to reach a private island on the lake, which is frequently used for events and camping. Lake Bayano features a dinosaur-themed attraction that extends along trails on the mainland. There are also Jurassic- and pirate-themed routes, as well as nature trails\u2014including one where you might spot monkeys\u2014perfect for those who enjoy hiking. Additionally, the lake features floating walkways that connect several small islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those looking for active pursuits, the park offers a ropes course and a climbing wall. There are ziplines for both adults and children; you can even zip-line directly toward the lake, ending with a big splash! The site boasts numerous photo-worthy spots, such as a chair with giant wings and the park\u2019s sign. There is also a petting zoo where children can interact with the animals. Horseback rides are available for an additional fee. This park is designed for children to learn about local flora and fauna, while adults can connect with nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bayano Adventure Park is an excellent venue for hosting workshops or accommodating large groups. Facilities include restrooms with showers, and cabins are available for visitors.
